Project: Greenlake Kitchen Remodel

IMG_0879 (3).jpg

These clients came to us through a referral from another kitchen we had completed recently.  They had been trying to plan a kitchen remodel for several months and struggling with design process and the designer they were working with we were able to bring in our team of designers, and architect and engineer and get them on the road to a new kitchen.  The existing kitchen was typical for the age of the house, built in the 1920s the kitchen was closed off from the rest of the house with a small door where there is now a large archway that allows light and movement from the dining room to the kitchen that matches the adjacent archway leading from the living room to the dining room.  Additionally, the back half of the kitchen where the sink is now was further cut off with another wall, both the walls removed were bearing, or structural, and required us to jump through some hoops, but as you can see the results speak for themselves.  The upper cabinets are Sapele, a wood similar in grain structure and color to mahogany, that we used to match the original mahogany millwork and trim in the house.  The lower cabinets are a custom paint color that the homeowners selected from Sherwin Williams.
